Hollywood Lost and Found

Hollywood & Highland Center
Hollywood, California

Opened in November 2001, The Hollywood & Highland Center features dozens of shops and restaurants, the 640-room Hollywood Renaissance Hotel, and a six-screen state-of-the-art cinema extension to the famous Grauman's Chinese Theatre. It is also the location of the Kodak Theatre, home of the Academy Awards ceremony.

Many television talk shows are broadcast regularly from the Center's courtyard, which features an archway and elephant statues that owe a debt of inspiration to the ancient Babylon sets from D.W. Griffith's epic “Intolerance” (1916).

Incidentally, the famous Hollywood sign is perfectly framed by the arch, and postcard-perfect photo opportunities can be found on the walkway bridges.
