The model of the Mothership in the film, built by Greg Jein, has many amusing hidden objects - including street light posts, and a tiny WWII fighter plane (inspired by Spielberg's "1941"). Most of these are not noticeable in the film itself... but one is. When you first see the huge ship, rotating slowly from left to right, (right after Melinda Dillion whispers "Oh my God!") look for the upside-down silhouette of R2-D2, the famous droid from the "Star Wars" films. |
